Good old fashioned brotherly love lead to this customer getting their entire roof replacement covered through their insurance provider. We were referred to this customer by his very own brother who we did a roof for just a few weeks prior. As a 42 year old family owned and operated Jacksonville roofing company, we treat all our customers as if they are part of our family. We understand the importance in taking care of our customers. When it comes the roofing needs of your family, there’s only one name that comes to mind, SPC Roofers!
We are constantly asked the question, how do I know when I need a new roof?
This roof replacement was no different. We started out with a free roof inspection. During these inspections our trained professionals look for all kinds of storm related damage whether it be wind, hail, fallen trees, or catastrophic damage to your roof. These signs of damage are not as obvious as they sound and may require being on top of your roof to identify. If you live in Florida, we recommend that you have your roof inspected at least every six months by a professional trained to identify storm related damage.
This kind customer knew that they needed their roof replaced and weren’t looking forward to paying big bucks out of pocket. They were anxious to find out the results from our inspection. Would they qualify for a roof replacement through their insurance provider?
SPC Helps Homeowners Inspect Roof Damage After Storms
We were able to verify this roof had been severely damaged by a recent windstorm. Our inspection revealed missing shingles, creased shingles, wind blown debri, and even impacts from fallen tree limbs! After the homeowners received all this information, they were able to make an educated decision. They decided to file an insurance claim for the damages to their roof.
With our assistance throughout the entire claim process, the toughest thing this customer had to do was pick out a color for their brand new roof!
What a huge transformation. This home had a 21 year old 3-tab roof plagued with algae stains, a leaking chimney, and leaking pipe boots. We upgraded them to the best architectural shingles on the market, with Rhino Roof U20 synthetic under-layment, and replaced all the pipe boots with lead boots.
In the end, they decided to go with an “Estate Gray” Owens Corning Duration shingle due to it’s 130 mph wind resistance, limited lifetime warranty, 10 year algae resistance, and most of all its eye-catching curb appeal.
Filing an insurance claim for storm damage to your home is not an easy process. We are happy to lend a helping hand from our family to yours. We’re focused on making the community a better place, one shingle at a time!
